Smoke-Free St. Louis City is a community coaltion dedicated to bringing positive change to smoke-filled St. Louis City. We are a broad-based coalition made up of thousands of St. Louisians and over 50 supporting businesses and organizations, including many local bars and restaurants. The Coalition isn’t against smokers or smoking, we’re just asking smokers to step outside for the health of everyone. Everyone has the right to breathe smoke-free indoor air!

I understand the focus of smoke free environments. I am an ex-smoker of over 15 years and understand the damages it causes to others near by. What I find hard to understand is the push for air only, especially in St. Louis. There are far greater issues that “Health” focused groups, like yourselves, don’t address. St. Louis was documented on History Channel on Sunday evening June 28, as being the #1 worst city for its sewer system and water filtration system.
I compliment your efforts with visually offensive clues such as a few smokers who you can pressure into guilt, but is it possible that you could use some of your “Coalition” of people and businesses to clean up what effects everyone, even yourselves. Expand out from just air to water and land if you truly have the power to change things. Thank you for everyone.
